Template description
The journey is titled Subscription Journey. In Discover, Browse marketing site scores 4 with the User, and Read social proof scores 3 with the User and Community. In Trial, Create account scores 4 with the User, and Explore core feature scores 5 with the User and Product. That 5 is the peak. In Purchase, Receive upgrade prompt scores 3 with System, which is the dip, then Pick a plan scores 4 with the User, and Complete payment scores 4 with the User and Payments. System appears on the low row and nowhere else. Product appears on the high row. Payments appears only at the last step. The prompt is the moment the score falls, before the user has chosen a plan.
When to use it
Open it when a conversion argument blames the payment step even though payment is scored 4 and the 3 belongs to the upgrade prompt. It gives design, product, and payments a way to see who is present on the row that dips.
How to adapt it
Replace the scores with your research, and keep one number per row so the dip stays visible. If the prompt is not the painful moment, move the 3 to the row that is. Change System to the surface that actually interrupts, and add Community or Payments to a row only if those people are really there. Add a cancellation section only when you have a score for it.
